Enthusiasm and the desire to succeed power the school's daily operations.
The goal of Sidmouth Primary School is to create a welcoming environment for learning.
It provides our kids a feeling of identity, and we teach them to be proud of their looks.
Children are welcome in the building starting at 8:40 every morning.
At Sidmouth Primary, the entire curriculum is meticulously planned.
Priority is placed on the five core subjects of English, mathematics, science, information and communication technology, and religious education.
We think that our curriculum should be as inclusive, well-rounded, and creative as we can make it.
In order for our kids to reach their greatest potential, we also want to teach them how to develop into kind, responsible adults who can cooperate and work well with others.
Swimming classes are available to kids in Years 1, 3, and 5.
While we acknowledge the value of giving kids free time to engage in interests, hobbies, and play, we also think that by giving them regular assignments, we are fostering a productive relationship between the family and the school.
Reading is a crucial learning tool.
We hope that all parents will embrace our recommendation that all kids read frequently at home.
The governing body has decided that sexual and romantic education should be covered in schools.
We make sure that kids who exhibit poor behaviour or attitude toward others understand why punishments have been applied and privileges have been taken away.
To help them develop self-awareness and self-control, we involve all of our kids in setting rules for behaviour during playtimes as well as in class.
The school provides funding for these events whenever possible.
However, some of the visits鈥攂oth daytime and overnight鈥攔equire assistance from parents and carers.
The First Federation, of which our school is a member, maintains a website at www.firstfederation.org with information about Directors.
Key Stage 1 students who practise healthy eating are given a piece of fruit or vegetable each day.
Every day, all kids participate in a worship ritual.
This has a firmly Christian foundation.
We are fortunate to have strong ties with the nearby churches, and local clergy members come to visit us frequently.
The kids will go to church for various assemblies.
Policies, Governors minutes, a copy of the most recent Ofsted report, and policies on safeguarding issues are all available through the school office and online here.
These are the First Federation policies.
However, there have been a lot of recent adjustments, so certain specifics might change throughout the year.
