All children (2–5 years old), regardless of their special needs or mainstream needs, get integrated care.
In order to meet all of the children's needs, the nursery encourages the kids to play and learn together in a well-staffed setting.
For kids aged 5 to 19, the school provides specialised educational and therapeutic intervention.
Each kid has an Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP), which details the programmes that will be used to satisfy those requirements in the setting of small class sizes.
Our kids benefit from specially crafted programmes that allow them to experience and get a deeper understanding of our Jewish culture, which are overseen by our Head of Kodesh (Jewish Studies).
This is evident at Side By Side in all the kids do, including during secular lessons, break time, lunch, and kodesh sessions.
Our objective is to swiftly incorporate all new students into the classroom, even if English is not the first language at home.
The youngsters can receive assistance from our bilingual teaching assistants.
Children are supported by therapists individually, in small groups, and through classroom-based interventions.
We want to help our kids be able to attend and integrate into one of the neighbourhood mainstream schools.
Some of our students are able to advance and move into a mainstream environment because to the individualised educational and therapeutic programmes.
Staff from Side By Side will help and support them during this adjustment.
For teenagers in secondary school, Side By Side offers an after-school club.
We plan a variety of extracurricular events throughout the academic year to broaden the experiences and opportunities for all of the kids.
