Students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) are fully incorporated into school life at Sedgehill Academy.
The curriculum provided to all kids, including those with extraordinary abilities and disabilities, includes students with SEND.
Ms. Oragano, the vice principal and SENCO for the school, holds both positions.
A entire school strategy for assisting children with SEND is necessary for the schools' SEN and disability policy to be successful.
Students who require further assistance with transition will be given the opportunity to enrol in The Academy during the summer semester as needed.
The foundation for identifying and meeting the needs of students with SEND is assessment, monitoring, and review.
A student's name is added to the SEND register after they are recognised as having SEND.
As a result, all employees can participate in the monitoring and review process.
All staff members are offered the chance to take advantage of a variety of evening INSETs on SEND-related topics, including policy and practise.
The SENCO, who is also the Vice Principal, handles any concerns about SEND services at the school first.
Any unsolved issues can also be discussed with the Principal, who is also ready to help.
