We take great pride in our modest school, which is located 1110 feet above sea level in the quaint community of Scapegoat Hill, which has a panoramic view over Huddersfield.
The Scapegoat Hill and Linthwaite Clough Federation is a group of self-assured, imaginative learners who flourish alongside one another in a vibrant, welcoming atmosphere that boosts the aspirations of every individual child.
The village's Baptist congregation constructed the school.
The School's first iterations just had a hall and two closed-off classrooms.
Children attended the school throughout the entirety of their scholastic careers until Colne Valley High School opened in 1956, excluding the passing of exams to transfer to Grammar Schools.
Over time, the building has undergone significant modification.
Major renovations to the original structure were made in 2006–2007. These included adding a new classroom to the main structure to replace the outdoor classroom, remodelling the other classrooms and staff room, changing the main entrance to add a new reception area/school office, and constructing a headteacher's office.
After 147 years of operation, the school is optimistically looking forward the future in 2019.
