From the Sawtry Village Academy
I have worked in education my entire professional life, mostly in Sawtry, so when I was chosen to lead the Academy in February 2019, I was quite happy about it.
I am dedicated to offering a top-notch educational experience in a setting where learning and individual success are at the centre of everything that is done.
Since the Academy joined the Cambridge Meridian Academies Trust (CMAT) in April 2015, both staff and students have experienced an exhilarating period of rapid improvement and development.
All of the kids at Sawtry Village Academy are held to high standards, and in return they receive a top-notch education at the centre of their neighbourhood.
After the most recent Ofsted inspection in January 2018, it is clear that Sawtry Village Academy students benefit from excellent instruction provided by staff who are knowledgeable in their fields and continually work to improve their teaching techniques in order to ensure the best possible progress and achievement outcomes for all students.
All staff members provide exceptional student care throughout the Academy, ensuring that high expectations for student achievement may be met.
A broad and balanced curriculum helps students develop the crucial abilities of leadership, teamwork, and cooperation through involvement in a wide range of extracurricular activities outside of the classroom, such as sport, music, and community service.
Whatever their level of success, we want children to put in a lot of effort, learn how to persevere when things become tough, and together, we will celebrate their development and accomplishments.
