From the Priory Infant School
"At our school we work together with all children and their families to enable individuals to make the most of their abilities and talents, whatever they are, by developing curious, thoughtful, creative learners who will be active and caring members of tomorrow's society." Mission declaration. A well-known infant school is Priory Infant School. In 1995, we relocated to a brand-new structure that was especially created with young children in mind, offering a secure and engaging atmosphere. It is a sizable, open structure with two blocks of six separate classrooms, each with a shared quiet area. Each class has an Interactive Whiteboard and additional PCs, plus we have a dedicated ICT suite. There are great PE facilities in the large hall, and the library is well-stocked. In September 2004 we opened an extension which has a music/occupational therapy room, a speech and language room, the Family Liaison Officer's office and a community room with kitchen and toilets. This is used for meetings, coffee mornings, our Breakfast Club, and for parents. There are two playgrounds outside, each with specially designed play equipment, as well as grassy areas. For the children's curiosity and study, there is also an environmental area with a wildlife garden and pond.

This is a lovely and welcoming school with friendly and experienced staff. The curriculum and learning are excellent - plenty of hands-on learning which is accessible to all. My daughter has absolutely thrived here.
