From the Portway Primary School
At Portway Primary School, we want to give kids the learning opportunities they need to be the greatest versions of themselves.
The work we do at school to support these goals has been noticed by Ofsted, who rated our school as Outstanding in all categories during their inspection in March 2019.
On this website, you can download a copy of the letter that gives a summary of the report.
Portway Primary School collaborates with Selwyn Primary School, a distinguished Plaistow school and the trust's sponsor, as a member of the Leading Learning Trust.
We are an open, outward-looking school that is always eager to hear from our students and parents, both informally and sporadically as well as more formally to ensure that all perspectives are heard.
In May 2018, we conducted surveys with both of these groups in addition to the personnel.
Our very satisfactory Key Stage 2 results, which are available on our Results and Inspections website, are the outcome of our unwavering dedication to teaching and learning.
We are happy to be among the top 10% of schools in the Borough on this specific metric based on our students' progress scores.
Our school is a part of the expanding Newham trust.
We are interested in collaborating with primary schools both inside and outside of our borough as our trust with them builds.
On the Trust Documents area of the Leading Learning Trust website, you may find a copy of this document as well as more details about our trust.
