Our church worker Ceriann and our curate, Rev. Joanne, make monthly visits to the school and run a lunch club for KS2 students that is based on the Bible.
Although the tree is gone, a lovely cedar wood sculpture of the Packington School Bell that was created for us by Peter Leadbetter and blessed by Reverend Vivien in a special community ceremony "lives" on" in our school.
To serve as a reminder of this, the tree's trunk has been adorned with the school's blue and yellow colours and the bell logo.
By hanging the bell from the tree, which serves as a symbol of the school, we are also reminded of the value of our ties to the local community. In particular, the Packington History Group's assistance in learning about the history of the cedar tree and the Horticultural Society's assistance in supporting the students' planting of a new tree in honour of Queen Elizabeth II's Diamond Jubilee.
The school community collected the flowers for the bell.
"Our Year of Determination" is symbolised by the paper flowers.
Every student at the school created their own petal and wrote their future aspirations and desired careers on it.
