I'm excited to welcome you to the Southdale Church of England Junior School website on behalf of the school's headteacher.
We are a 7–11-year-old Church of England school located in Wakefield, Yorkshire's Ossett neighbourhood.
A total of around 50 adults work with us to serve 360 students.
My educational philosophies encourage both staff and students to reach their full potential.
In my opinion, every child has the potential to succeed and the right to an education that will help them reach their full potential by igniting a desire to learn.
At Southdale, we strongly believe in a child-centered approach to teaching where success is based on consistency, reward, and challenge at the same time.
Our shared goal is for every child to flourish to their maximum academic, creative, personal, physical, moral, and spiritual potential.
Our school has created a set of core principles that will always guide everything we do. These values were produced within the context of Christian belief and practise.
Because of this, the Southdale Sparkle—our school's motto and overarching goal—is to "shine like stars in the universe."
I'm looking forward to working with you, and I urge you to get active in your child's education as parents.
