We are a tiny, amiable, and compassionate school affiliated with the Oval Learning Trust, a multi-academy trust located in the Swadlincote village of Oakthorpe.
We have about 90 wonderful kids who are well-mannered, considerate, and work incredibly hard!
Together, the entire committed staff team and the helpful parents make our school a fantastic environment to study while having a lot of fun.

We are really fortunate to have beautiful grounds with a nature pond, a wildlife woods, and a sizable playing field.
Even though our postcode is Derbyshire, our school is in Leicestershire.
We were incredibly honoured to receive two Gold awards in July 2018 for our efforts to support everyone's welfare throughout the school.
For all of our efforts to improve children's wellness, we were one of only five schools in the nation to receive a Gold award from the Carnegie Centre for Mental Health in Schools.
For all of our efforts to grow sports in the school, we also got a gold award from the School Games.
We have a useful school council that speaks for the opinions of Oakthorpe students.
Oakthorpe values the opinions of its students, and in March 2015, the school was named a regional finalist for the DFE Character Awards.
