I am pleased to welcome you to our website in my capacity as the headteacher of Oakdene Primary School.
I hope you can find what you need to know and that a lot of your questions can be answered.
At Oakdene Primary School, we work hard to give each of our students an education that will help them realise THEIR full potential.
In all aspects of school life, Oakdene received an excellent rating from Ofsted in November 2012.
In November 2012, Ofsted Inspectors noted that "Pupils are exceptionally courteous and well-behaved and treat others with great respect." This is in line with our extremely high standards for behaviour and etiquette.
Our goal is to instil in our kids a set of principles that will serve them well as they mature into adults.
Our values centre on the concepts of accountability, friendship, respect, integrity, tenacity, and excellence, which touch on many facets of life at home, at school, and at business.
The lessons are "exceptionally well prepared" and "offer fascinating and demanding objectives that enable learning to advance at a quick pace," according to Ofsted inspectors (Ofsted 2012).
In Reception, we follow the Foundation Stage Curriculum, and from Y1 to Y6, we follow a skills-based curriculum where the kids get to put what they've learned to use in various contexts.
We sincerely hope that your child is content at Oakdene. If you require any other information, please get in touch with the school at [email protected] or by calling 01744 678410.
