Norton Hill Primary School started classes in temporary spaces in September 2020.
Our STEM curriculum is being created to stimulate kids' interests and equip them with the intellectual and social abilities they will need to succeed in life.
The curriculum is centred on a culture of appreciation, respect, and moral purpose that was developed through student voice and a focus on high-quality PSHE instruction.
The heart of our school is a beautiful library, and we are making considerable expenditures in first-rate reading materials for students of all ages.
By taking these steps, we are demonstrating our commitment to assisting our pupils in acquiring excellent literacy and oracy abilities, as well as general knowledge and a love of reading.
We urge everyone at Norton Hill Primary to set the greatest standards for themselves and to succeed in a safe and healthy learning environment.
We want to focus on brain development inside and beyond the classroom because we think that too few children are given the chance to develop great cooperation, leadership, and communication skills.
Children from Midsomer Norton will have access to excellent learning opportunities regardless of their circumstances or needs thanks to our inclusive and accessible approach.
We will use the freedoms at our disposal to develop and deliver a curriculum plan that emphasises excellence in STEM and outdoor learning while still adhering to the national curriculum in key subjects.
We see STEM inquiry and outdoor learning for kids as complementary strands that can both be pursued in our environment's natural and man-made components.
