Each week, the kids in these teams collaborate with a guest from the Market Harborough Methodist Circuit to develop and then conduct group worship. The teams' goal is to live out our principles in everything they do, which includes promoting the schools' Christian ethos. They have made the decision to take it a step further this year and act as ardent supporters of issues. The first of these is Spencer Contact, a nonprofit that helps local residents who lack basic furnishings like mattresses. The team has planned a sponsored "sleep on the floor" event to kick off their campaign. The next step is to promote the charity throughout the neighbourhood in an effort to increase awareness and support. The Leprosy Mission is the second cause the kids are supporting this year. In the coming weeks, they will meet with a charity official to discuss how they might best contribute to the mission's worthwhile work.
