The school, which had a lot of open play space for the kids and was close to Hayes Town, opened its doors in 1957. The main building houses 10 classrooms along with an ICT suite, a staff lounge, and many smaller teaching spaces that have been adapted. This two-story structure contains an elevator for access to the ground floor. Special needs rooms are available in the smaller classroom spaces. A welfare centre, administrative rooms, and a multipurpose hall are also located in the main structure (PE, assemblies, cohorts and dining). There are two playgrounds outside with floor-marked games. We also have two playing fields and a polytunnel. There is also a brand-new structure with a staff PPA room, a kitchen, a meeting room, and a library. Additional sessions are held in a mobile classroom and four classrooms are housed in a terrapin building (2 classes). , Through connections with the LA (Garden Project), the HCT (Hillingdon Community Trust), and our PTA, developments from a number of initiatives have been financed. We have a few Terrains, two Chickens, two Ducks, and goldfish. The Minet Junior School is a four-form entrance LA (Hillingdon, London) Community School. In terms of families, governors, and staff, we take great pride in our population's diversity and multiculturalism. We consider ourselves to be a "community" school in every sense, and we are dedicated to cooperating with outside organisations, other schools, and our neighbourhood community. We are eager to take part in neighbourhood initiatives like "Cleaner, Greener Hayes," in which we are involved. The school follows the National Curriculum and we are keen to take on new projects, initiatives and interventions that will support raising standards and promote any area of pupil development. The school has achieved the Quality Skills kitemark, PE Bronze award and Primary Science Quality mark. We are also working with NACE to challenge our more able pupils.
