From the Mesty Croft Academy
In the heart of Wednesbury in the West Midlands, there is a sizable primary school with two form entries called Mesty Croft Academy. The Wednesbury School Board initially constructed the school in February 1880. It was later expanded in 1931, and in 1981 a new structure was built in its stead. In April 2012, the school underwent academy conversion. We have a morning and afternoon nursery with 39 spaces, and as a two-form entry school, we can accommodate a maximum of 30 students per class and 60 students per year group. Every morning at 7:30 a.m., we provide a breakfast club. In addition, we have a number of after-school clubs, including choir, art, school newspaper, explorers, hockey, cricket, netball, and multisports. All students at Mesty Croft have access to a broad and balanced curriculum that offers them a wide range of engaging learning experiences. Our next generation is frequently encouraged to believe in themselves and achieve through visits, visitors, and events. At the end of EYFS, KS1, and KS2, we want our students to at the very least meet the national expectations and ultimately be "secondary ready."
