From the Maltby Academy
The Development Plan's main goal is to clearly outline the Academy's priorities for the coming year. It does not try to include every action the Academy plans to do. Instead, the key steps required to ensure improvement are outlined in a single strategic plan. This plan simply includes the Academy's top priorities in order to keep things reasonable. Although not included, individual topic area plans can be found in a copy that the leadership team regularly reviews. Priority 1: Increasing levels of development from Years 7 through 13 to guarantee that all students make quick, consistent learning gains and find favourable advancement paths. Priority 2: Ensuring that all young people acquire and put to use their own knowledge, skills, and abilities in order to become resilient, self-reliant, and effective learners as well as adults. Priority 3: Create a skilled labour force to assist and work with young people through highly effective hiring practises and ongoing professional development (leadership at all levels). Priority 4: To support a secondary school that is underperforming by increasing capacity and expanding opportunities for all through the raising achievement and school improvement agenda.
