From the Loughborough Grammar School
We understand boys and how to inspire them. We believe that high expectations are central to their success, helping to foster academic rigour and a love of learning for its own sake. We understand that a sense of achievement is also created through our hugely varied programme of extra-curricular activities which enable boys to feel fulfilled and to develop their character, resilience and teamwork. Our mission is to prepare young men for a fulfilling life through fostering achievement, aspiration, achievement and empathy. We inspire our students to become intellectually curious, lifelong learners, who have the confidence to be innovative and unafraid of failure. Boys that attend LGS mature into strong, mature young men. They express their worries and are conscious of others' emotional health. Our pupils acquire the ability to make judgements with sound judgement. The spirit of Loughborough Grammar School is characterised by constructive relationships between all members of our community based on the core value of treating others as we would like to be treated ourselves. Boys from LGS are aware of their duties to the larger communities in which they reside. They grow up to be active citizens who respect others and their diversity. As self-disciplined, flexible leaders who welcome change, our sons depart from us. They collaborate and enjoy one other's accomplishments.
