From the Lighthouse School Leeds
Welcome to Lighthouse School, where we strive to provide great educational opportunities for adolescents with an autism diagnosis.
I am honoured and happy to be the head of such a special and wonderful school that is designed to be destination-focused.
The purpose of this school is to map and further develop each student's unique interests, aptitudes, social and communication skills, life skills, and academic talents in order to identify and target individual goals for them.
Each student's course of study is centred on one of the four pillars of the school's provision.
Students at Lighthouse School will learn about all four cornerstones, but at times will concentrate more on developing their skills in one or more of the cornerstones to support their intended goal.
All pupils are able to make good progress and earn nationally recognised credentials in Key Stages 4 and 5. The school offers a broad and balanced curriculum.
I'm happy to report that Lighthouse school graduates have so far made it into supported internships, college courses, and full-time jobs.
I sincerely hope you will decide that Lighthouse School is the best option for your kid, and I am looking forward to collaborating with you to help your child realise their full potential.
