We hope that this website gives you a flavour of our wonderful school but to really appreciate just how special we are please make an appointment to come and visit us, we would love to show you around and tell you more about our caring and nurturing school here in Leigh. Leigh Children who are joyful, enjoy going to school, and are eager to learn are the focus at St. Mary's Church of England Primary School. No matter where a child starts off, we want the best for them all. All staff members work hard to weave a rich tapestry of educational opportunities into which our students can develop and flourish. In all facets of their lives, we want our kids to aspire to be "the greatest that they can be." We want our kids to enter high school with the correct "tools" in their "toolkit," as well as high expectations and a "I can" mentality. We are a very welcoming and open school, and we really value the role that families play in helping their child succeed in primary school. Our success is based on the solid, honest, and trustworthy connections we have with all of our families. We hope that the ideals we instil in the kids will stick with them throughout their life as we work to give them a sense of belonging to our school. As stated in our mission statement, we are deeply anchored in biblical values and have extremely strong ties to the church, St. Mary's the Virgin Parish Church. We exhort the kids to develop strong roots and soaring wings.
