The Leeds College of Building is a part of the, which was founded to unite some of the biggest businesses in the area in order to improve Leeds. Councils, colleges, universities, hospitals, and huge enterprises are examples of large organisations having local headquarters. We and the other Leeds Anchors have a long history in the area. Leeds College of Building enrols about 5,500 students and provides 1618 full-time study programmes, adult education, apprenticeships, HE courses, and specialised employer programmes. Leeds College of Building collaborates with more than 1700 local and international firms, ranging from small companies to (tier 1) large contractors. You can learn more about the work of our partners and how Leeds College of Building carries out its primary anchor goals of helping local employment, company growth, skills, incomes, health, and wellbeing. Additionally, in order to quickly fill local vacancies at the college, we have used a cutting-edge speed interviewing method. We not only avoided spending money, but we also gave six locals jobs. In 2019, we became a member of the Leeds Anchor Network, and we're excited to partner with the NHS, academic institutions, and Leeds City Council to help define methods in a variety of areas, such as local procurement, employee wellbeing, and recruitment. Our CEO and founder, Derek Whitehead, is a senior member of the Leeds Anchor Network. Being a part of the Leeds Anchor Network is an honour, and we're dedicated to promoting inclusive growth in Leeds. To that purpose, we work with our supply chain and more than 400 employees, as well as with significant partners. Working together, the Leeds Anchors Network will be able to increase possibilities and aspirations for each of our communities.
