On the outskirts of Buntingford and with a view of it, Layston School is located in a lovely rural setting.
With a big school field and imaginative play areas, the school is roomy and well-equipped.
Co-educational, voluntary-controlled, Church of England school is what our school is.
All of our work is based on our Christian ethos and commitment to the church.
The school's life is crucial to our everyday act of worship.
Our range of ages is 4 to 9.
We only allow 30 students to enrol each year, so kids are always taught in age-specific classes.
Five first schools make up the three tier structure of which we are a part.
Layston First School is remarkable as a Church of England school in terms of its distinctiveness and effectiveness.
Many of our kids go to Layston Pre-School and Nursery, which is housed in our school and serves kids as young as two and a half.
On our property, Buntings Out of School also runs a breakfast and after-school programme.
