studying how to Putting our knowledge into practise is what it means to learn to do.
becoming more Understanding who we are and how we interact with others is learning to be.
It's about learning to be self-sufficient and to accept accountability for our actions.
learning how to coexist Learning to coexist with others in our neighbourhood, our wider world, and with our friends on the playground and in the classroom is what it means to "live together."
The tolerance embodied in Learning to Live Together represents British values.
"I take pride and always do my best," "I am no better or worse than you," "I will cross the road for you," and "I take responsibility for myself and others" are our four simple facts.
These basic realities make it easier for us to coexist.
"I take responsibility for myself and others" requires us to carefully consider our own actions and knowledge.
I take satisfaction in consistently giving it my all.
We are proud of our excellent behaviour.
Our "4Ls of Learning" and four "Simple Truths" at Latimer Primary School serve as the foundation for all of our daily activities and decisions.
They are discussed frequently with our parents and are known and understood by students, staff, and governors.
We have developed our one long-term goal—our vision for Latimer—using these two sets of values.
The 4Ls identify the 4 essential components of education and are based on the UNESCO pillars of education.
These four principles are taken into account in all of the decisions we make at school about the curriculum or our rules.
The 4Ls are at the heart of education at Latimer and are reflected in our planning and curriculum development, and are celebrated and shared with all the school community in the classroom and during our achievers assembly on a Friday.
Our 'Simple Truths' form the basis of the school's behaviour policy and provide a structure for children to base their decision making on.
The Simple Truths are referred to throughout the school day and children who follow the 'Simple Truths' are rewarded with a star award and entered into a prize draw to receive a book at the end of each term.
