"Teaching is more than just dispensing information; it also motivates change.
I am fortunate.
I am instead fortunate to be living in the here and now.
It's because having that privilege reminds me of all the children I knew who did not live in my current world; they are the ones who dropped out of school, made errors, and led chaotic, hopeless lives.
who are a part of a fractured society that no longer believes that everyone can be included.
When it used to be a rare sight, I feel bad for the growing number of homeless people I see along Rochester High Street.
I'm both angry and guilty.
I keep in mind that we can make a difference by making sure that our society's and our nation's most valuable resource is educated to become the greatest version of themselves and to be the best they can be for others.
Knowledge is everything.
I have had every opportunity in life thanks to my education, yet this only makes me a statistical outlier and not evidence that the system is effective.
It demonstrates to me that education is still falling short of its obligations to level the playing field in our society, provide every child a voice and a chance, and guarantee that the most "disadvantaged" youngsters are no longer such.
We'll give our kids what they deserve—optimism, faith in the future, when they leave us.
We as a Trust will act in their best interests.
Every single one of them is a champion, and it is our responsibility to show it to them, their peers, and the rest of the world.
