The history of King Harold Academy is extensive. The school was established in 1952 and is named after Harold Godwinson, the final Anglo-Saxon monarch of England. The "greatest days of their lives" were spent getting ready for their futures as six generations had gone through the gates of King Harold. The school has always adjusted to the requirements of the kids it serves despite the enormous changes in life and society that have occurred. In the best interests of each student who attends the school, King Harold Academy will keep adjusting and improving as it rides the wave of recent success. At King Harold, learning is at the heart of everything we do. We firmly believe that schools function best when both teachers and students enjoy what they are learning. Excellent teachers, lessons, and chances for intellectual and social growth both inside and outside the classroom are provided for students. Students learn how to reason morally and logically. Along with learning the fundamentals of English, math, and science, they are also confronted with challenges to their critical thinking. We think that students should be familiar with "The Best That Has Been Thought and Said," as well as the contemporary, dynamic world in which we live. Being an open school, we take pride in the fact that we recognise kids learn best when parents and teachers work together. The education of their children is one of the most significant services we can offer a family, and this is most successful when the school, the students, and their parents collaborate. Please come by, take a look around, and talk to our staff and students. You'll be impressed, I'm sure.
