From the Jubilee Wood Primary School
Our school, which was founded on the locations of two prior schools, Meadfurlong and Penwith, opened its doors in September 2012. The Queen's diamond jubilee year and the trees that guests and workers planted on the grounds inspired the name Jubilee Wood. Jubilee Wood is a fascinating and lively learning environment that cherishes each child and works to bring out the best in everyone. It is located in the Oldbrook and Fishermead neighbourhoods in the centre of Milton Keynes. The workforce at the school consists of both older, more seasoned teachers and younger, inexperienced teachers. The school has greatly grown in recent years, and we are now able to accommodate students from Nursery to Year 6. In 2016, the school underwent renovations with the opening of new junior buildings and the conversion of the existing junior site to accommodate infants in better facilities. The school can accommodate more enrollment if necessary and currently has 600 students enrolled.
