We appreciate you visiting our website, whether you are a current student or parent, had a prior connection with our school, or are just browsing. In the centre of the neighbourhood lies a medium-sized school called Highfields. Our goal is to give every child a nurturing environment. In order to support all children in becoming autonomous, responsible adults, we provide a wide range of challenging learning opportunities. By fostering self-discipline and boosting self-confidence, we help each person develop a good attitude toward learning and become an excellent learner. Care and consideration for others are at the core of our ethos. We count it a great privilege that, in 2000, we were one of the twelve Tendring Schools chosen for a PPP programme. This means building a brand-new school with 350 permanent spaces for students. To ensure that the building complied with the new model specification for Essex, architects worked closely with the school. We have spacious closed classes, a large purpose built ICT suite, two halls, a medical room, large welcoming entrance hall and many other features that give opportunity for enhanced stimulating teaching and learning. The setting offers roomy soft and hard play spaces where students can spend time having fun. You're more than welcome to get in touch with me personally, and I'd be happy to show you around our school. Our website provides you a decent indication of what we have to offer, but you will only be able to fully appreciate the high calibre education we provide if you visit us in person. When Ofsted last inspected our school in July 2016, they gave us an OUTSTANDING rating. Come and see why we are so proud of our school.
