This insight was generated by AI, based on latest Ofsted report.

Foundational Skills: The teaching of reading is particularly good across the school. Phonics is taught well.
Success of the Curriculum: The pupils’ enjoyment of the subjects they are taught is developed through a variety of topics, themes, and after-school activities.
Areas Needing Improvement: Progress in writing is not as rapid as in reading because pupils do not have enough opportunities to write at length across different subjects.
Performance in Maths & Reading: Over half of the pupils have exceeded the standards in reading and mathematics by the end of Year 6.
Support for Falling Behind: One-to-one support or small-group teaching helps pupils catch up. This is very closely monitored by the school leaders.
Behaviour and Attitudes: Pupils attend regularly, behave well, and have very positive attitudes towards school. They are polite to staff, each other, and visitors.
Support for SEND Pupils: Disabled pupils and those with special educational needs make good progress due to effective one-to-one or small-group support.
Managing Bullying and Pupil Safety: Pupils have a good understanding of safety, especially when using the internet. Bullying is rare.
Promotion of Welfare and Safety: The school promotes a strong sense of community and involves pupils in village life, enhancing their welfare and safety.
Parent Feedback: Parents are very positive about behaviour in the school. Almost all who responded to Parent View said that the pupils behave well and that their child was safe in school.
Parental Involvement: The school promotes strong community involvement by involving pupils in many facets of village life including visits to local churches and writing letters to the local council.
Teacher Engagement: Teaching across the school is consistently good, and teachers have high expectations of what pupils can achieve.
Impact on Student Progress: Teachers ensure that the work is suitable for every child's needs, resulting in good progress by the end of Year 6.
Assessment of Teaching Quality: Regular checks are made on teaching, and training is given to all staff, improving their practice.
Teaching Staff Challenges: Teachers use marking to allow pupils to see what they have done well and what they need to do to improve, but this is not yet fully developed in all classes, especially in mathematics.

One form of enrollment is offered at Hertford Heath Primary School & Nursery. We accept 30 students for Reception and above, and 26 students for our Nursery programme. Due to its location in the community, it enjoys all the advantages of a village school, including a warm environment where every staff member is familiar with every student and their family. Our school is a Hertford & Ware school, but it also has strong ties to the village, the church, the parish council, Haileybury College, and the neighbourhood of Hertford Heath. Therefore it has access to all the same partnerships and opportunities as the schools in the nearby towns; Hartham swimming pool, Wodson Park, Castle Hall theatre and links with fellow professionals at the Primary and Secondary schools. When they reach secondary school age, our kids are well prepared for the change; the majority of them transfer to Presdales, Richard Hale, Simon Balle, and Haileybury. In each of our last four OFSTED inspections, the most recent of which was in September 2017, we have received the designation "Good school." Our Governing Body is helpful and professional, and our class instructors are a dependable, caring group. Rebecca Baggaley, our head teacher, joined the institution in January 2019.
