I'm writing to welcome you and your kid to our school now that we know the outcomes of the Local Authority-managed Hayesfield placement allocation.
The first event you should mark on your calendar is our Year 6 Parent Welcome Evening on Thursday, June 20, 2019.
At the Upper Oldfield Park Campus, this will happen between 5.45 and 7.30 p.m.
Your daughter is more quite welcome to join, even if this evening is for you, the parents.
Mrs. Venables, the Year 7 Transition and Pastoral Manager, will have visited the bulk of our prospective children in their primary schools by the time we see you in June so they can get to know one another before their Induction Day on July 4.
Your daughter will have the chance to choose three friends that she gets along with and would want to be in a tutor group with as part of the transition process.
You will then be requested to fill out a Friendship Request slip with her selections during this event, and these will be collected at the conclusion of the evening.
The 2019 Parents' Handbook is presently being prepared and will be available for you to pick up on the evening. It will also be posted on our website closer to that day.
The Handbook includes a Reply Booklet for you to fill out and is packed with helpful information about joining our Hayesfield community.
After the Welcome Evening, we are eager for your daughter to spend the day with us on her Induction Day on Thursday, July 4th. During this time, she will have the chance to get to know the other students in her year group and enjoy a free school lunch.
