We make sure to teach history in a variety of engaging and interesting methods for our kids since they appreciate learning about it throughout the curriculum. Our half-termly themes frequently have a historical bent, allowing the kids to participate in a variety of historical workshops and fun school outings as part of their launch pad! Children learn and apply a variety of historical techniques throughout their time in school to learn more about both local and global history. Our history teachers make sure that the course material is of a high academic calibre and covers a variety of cultural topics. The faculty and students at Hawkinge Primary School think that history is an essential component of our curriculum, and we strive to make it as awe-inspiring and "real life" as we can. Poppy Middleton, Ezme Ball, and Alfie Richards wrote the text (Year 6). The focus of this term's pupil voice was history. The Pupil Voice leaders posed historical questions to the students, including: What have you learned about in history so far? What would you like to study more about? The next step was for them to cast their votes on the statement, "Does Green Pen assist you better your knowledge of the lesson?" History is the study of the past, illustrious figures, noteworthy occasions, and noteworthy locations. The Egyptians, the Victorians, World War I, the Stone Age, the Titanic, the Taj Mahal, local history, and how daily life has changed over time have all been taught to youngsters this year.

Hawkinge Primary School Reviews
1 (2 reviews)
The children of this school are what makes it great. Sadly they are let down by a toxic, deceitful culture from top leadership. League scores take priority over needs of the children. Pity, as it would otherwise be a lovely school. As it stands, until there are substantial changes in some senior positions held I would strongly suggest looking at alternative schools.
Constant misrepresentation of information. Children are set for core subjects from Y3 based on KS1 SAT results. Blunt lies about assessment and flexibility between sets. The class Teacher (non-core subjects) doesn't know the children and is unable to answer questions about their performance.
