I am delighted to extend a warm welcome to you on behalf of the students, teachers, and governors at Hamstead Junior School. Our goal for the school community is for everyone to "work, learn, and achieve together." A wide and balanced curriculum is offered at our school, and it is provided through engaging and interesting activities. On this website, you may discover information about the curriculum the kids are exposed to, and we hope the curriculum summaries for each year group will be helpful to parents in helping their kids learn. The school community is caring and nurturing, as we aim to prepare all children well, both academically and socially during their time with us so that they are well equipped for the next stage of their education and for future life beyond the School. We set high standards for each other and our kids, and we urge parents to collaborate with their kids to get the best results for all of our kids. I'm hoping that this website will provide you with all the information you need on Hamstead Junior School. It has been my pleasure for my teaching career to have been so closely linked with our school for so many years, first as a teacher (1989-2002) and then as Head Teacher (2005 ...) and I know how much our children are capable of achieving when the community works together to support learning.
