Every student at Grange School has the same goal.
All of our students should receive the greatest education possible.
The fundamental principles of "Love, Hope, Co-operation, and Respect" were chosen by Grange students in July 2009 because they felt that they best captured the spirit of the school.
Everything we do at Grange in order to have a happy school is based on the four basic values.
In our school, a wide variety of religions, languages, and cultures are represented.
Our basic principles encourage everyone to treat others equally, enabling kids and staff to respect and value others' rights and be prepared to assume their role in society.
We define prejudice as any action or attitude that jeopardises fundamental rights, and we are committed to combating prejudice wherever it appears.
The British principles of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, and respect for and tolerance of people of all religions and beliefs have received a lot of attention recently.
While we support giving every child a voice and supporting their growth in self-esteem and self-confidence, we will always oppose extreme viewpoints that we see as an attack on a specific faith or culture. We will also work with families to promote mutual respect at all times.
At this school, we do not tolerate any form of harassment, including name-calling that is racist, sexist, or biassed.
In order for each student to grow, succeed, and go beyond their potential, we want to ensure that they all have equal opportunity in their work, play, and interpersonal connections.
We will be able to uphold our commitment to equal opportunity through the work we do at Grange to promote children's spiritual, moral, social, and cultural (SMSC) development.
Through the work of the School Council and the fact that Grange is a "Telling School," student voice is constantly sought for and supported.
All students are expected to take responsibility for both themselves and for others, and they are required to inform adults of any behaviour that raises questions.
