A high school called Furness Academy is located in the centre of Barrow-in-Furness. We inaugurated our new, $22 million building in September 2013. With state-of-the-art facilities and equipment available to them, this is an excellent learning environment for pupils. Learning is at the core of everything we do here at Furness Academy. Your child will be welcomed and safe at Furness Academy, so you can look forward to it with confidence. Respect, accountability, and relationships are the cornerstones of our fundamental principles, which guide all of our efforts to provide every student the best chance to succeed. We want our students to graduate from Furness Academy with the self-assurance and qualifications they need to flourish in the twenty-first century, give back to their society, and engage in global citizenship. Additionally, Furness Academy enjoys the benefit of being only 20 minutes south of the Lake District.
