Children ages 2 to 11 are welcome in "a dynamic and inclusive environment where pupils feel valued and safe" (Ofsted 2019). At Forest of Galtres, we're dedicated to supporting your kids as they go through the educational system. The entire team collaborates to create a stimulating learning environment centred on our school's mission and core principles of collaboration, courage, creativity, and Christian faith. As the only Anglican Methodist primary school in North Yorkshire, our school has a unique character, which is manifested in the extraordinarily high degree of care we extend to every student. We made the decision to become an academy in 2016 and, along with Manor CE Academy and Poppleton Ousebank Primary School, are now a part of the Hope Learning Trust York family of schools. This summer we have worked on developing our indoor and outdoor Early Years Foundation Stage provision and we are now admitting children aged 3 years as part of the 30hrs entitlement for families; from September 2017 Shipton Preschool and Toddlers have also been based on site. This became our school's nursery in April 2019 and offers instruction and care to kids ages 2 and up. We are a vibrant school with many activities going on. This website seeks to provide current information for parents, students, and the larger community while also giving you a sense of the school. We sincerely hope you enjoy browsing our website and discover the details you're looking for. Please don't hesitate to get in touch with the school directly if you have any questions or need physical copies of any documents.
