The Fermain Academy undertook a 1.6 million development project to extend and renovate the entire building before opening as a brand-new Alternative Provision free school in September 2015. The academy provides a safe place to learn for people who, for whatever reason, have lost interest in traditional schooling. It has the capacity to accommodate up to 60 students between the ages of 13 and 16 at any given time. No matter how much time a student spends at The Fermain Academy, they are assured a disciplined and fulfilling educational experience as well as an amazing, committed team that can offer emotional support in a welcoming setting. The aforementioned fundamental values guide everything we do at The Fermain Academy.
