"Since the previous inspection, the leadership group has kept the school's exceptional level of instruction. "Everyone will be the best they can be, nobody is excluded, and every voice is heard," is the school's mission statement. Every day, every part of the work done at the school embodies this." 2016 OFSTED ELLEN TINKHAM is an "Outstanding" Local Authority funded special school for children and young people aged 3-19 years, who have severe learning disabilities. Every one of our pupils has a special education needs statement. With our all-encompassing approach to education, Ellen Tinkham is committed to making sure that kids are at the centre of all we do. We encourage a culture of friendliness and cooperation by listening to one another, recognising each other's accomplishments and admitting our flaws. Our students are provided the tools they need and the chance to participate in a school that is more inclusive and the larger community. Bidwell Brook Special School, which is situated in Dartington close to Totnes, and Ellen Tinkham School are both members of the Learn to Live Federation. The federation promotes best practises in education and joint working opportunities for staff and students.
