From the Education Links
100% of the students who participated in the 2011 Education Links Student Survey said they liked it. In September 2014, Education Links launched as a free alternative provision school. Prior to this, we were a Community Links Trust Ltd.-owned independent special school that had grown out of a 1995-founded part-time youth programme. We are a chosen provider of alternative education in the London Borough of Newham, where the majority of our students come from. We receive referrals from young people who are struggling in traditional education. Our goal in working with them is to meet their emotional, intellectual, and social requirements while including them in the learning process. They may have been excluded, be in danger of being excluded, be moving to a new school in a controlled manner, or have been issued a temporary exclusion. The idea that all of our young people have potential and can thrive is deeply ingrained in our mindset. They can benefit from possibilities for both academic and personal growth in a supportive, safe atmosphere provided by our committed, knowledgeable team. We pride ourselves on being open and approachable and we build good relationships with all our students, their parents and their referring schools. Our mission to assist every young person in realising their potential and our vision statement serve as the cornerstones of everything we do.
