The relationships between staff, students, and parents/caregivers are crucial to our success in our thriving, kind, and joyful school.
Our pursuit of excellence for all is unwavering.
We were thrilled for our children this summer as they celebrated outstanding GCSE exam results, which were the product of an incredible work ethic and good instruction.
Over 50% of students earned a grade of 5 or better, and 71% of students passed both English and arithmetic.
In English, math, and science, more over a quarter of our pupils received the top grades (grades 7 and above).
The ability of our staff to implement best practises and evidence-informed teaching so that our students learn the skills necessary to enable them to achieve is a big contributor to our continuous success.
We are one of only a few National Research Schools because of this.
Durrington High School has routinely outperformed the results for West Sussex and the UK in recent years as a real comprehensive.
With the knowledge and abilities to provide them alternatives in life that will allow them to realise their objectives and dreams, we want our students to graduate from our programme as joyful, self-assured individuals.

Amazing well run school with good teachers. My children are very happy there and I would recommend to others in the area.
Great school. Over the past few years it has improved greatly and has many new teachers who are all very kind and engaging. There are good behaviour system that is fair to all to give out chances but not by affecting others education. There are houses (used to be known as companies) where the house teams help students with any bullying, home issues and behaviour issues. If you require support it is easy to get....
