From the Derby High School
Over 520 pupils, ranging in age from 3 to 18, are currently being educated at DHS in purpose-built facilities in Derby's green Littleover neighbourhood.
While both boys and girls are taught in our primary school, our senior school has only had female students for its 127-year existence.
However, I am happy that our Governors have decided to allow boys to enrol in the Senior School as of September 2019.
With 38% of our 2019 A level entrants receiving an A or A* and 72% of GCSE grades receiving 7-9 (the equivalent of an A or A* under the new grading system), Derby High is far ahead of all local schools in both A level and GCSE results.
It is a privilege and a joy for me to be the principal of such a dynamic and successful school, and if you are thinking about investing in the future of your kid, I strongly encourage you to come and see Derby High in person.
As we begin our new exciting chapter of educating boys and girls throughout the school, I would be pleased to personally walk you around the school, answer any questions you may have, and go through my vision and values for Derby High.
