Regarding Our School Deepcar St. John's is a "Foundation School" that serves children from 7 to 11 years old and is a voluntary-aided Church of England junior school.
Eight big classrooms, a dining hall, a library, an ICT suite, a music room, administrative offices, a junior kitchen, and resource areas are all available at our school.
Many children commute to the school from 'out of catchment' areas due to parental preference.
The school will feature six mixed-ability classes for the 2019–2020 academic year, including two year 3 classes, one year 4 class, two year 5 classes, and one year 6 class.
We routinely commemorate the key dates in the Christian calendar at school or by visiting the neighbourhood parish church because we are a Voluntary Aided School with strong ties to St. John's Church in Deepcar.
As people of the Christian faith, we accept all neighbourhood kids regardless of their families' religious and philosophical perspectives.
We aim to encourage more students at St. John's to walk, bike, scooter, or take public transportation.
This will result in fewer cars outside of schools, making the region safer for students. Students will also be able to practise their road safety skills, improve their health and fitness levels by regular walking or cycling, and lessen pollution and CO2 emissions.
All faculty and students at our institution are encouraged to practise environmentally friendly and sustainable travel habits.
To aid in this, we participate in a variety of incentives, such as The Big Pedal and 10 Day Active Travel.
Every day after school programmes are offered and last until 4.30 p.m.
On Wednesdays before school, we also conduct a football club.
We participate in a variety of competitive sporting events and have sent teams to other local schools' football, athletics, boccia, frisbee, multi-sport, and basketball tournaments.

It is a great way of communicating news and information about what is happening at St John's.
