From the Cusgarne Primary School
Our school serves a small rural village as well as other nearby hamlets, districts, and farmsteads. The Gwennap School Board established the first school in 1877, and the original granite structure still serves as the primary campus today. Under the Cornwall Schools Public Finance Initiative Scheme, the school underwent a significant building programme in August 2001. The school currently has a huge auditorium, three designated classrooms, and a stunning library with an IT area. Running along the front and side of the school, the playground area features pictures, markings, and a climbing wall. Next to it, in a grassy area, is an adventure playground. We also have a specific sports field where we play invasion-style games and host our annual Sports Day. We ensure that every child and family is cherished and have high standards for all of our kids. Every youngster has access to a wide range of possibilities that will help them realise their greatest potential. The school is very much in the centre of this community, which has a strong sense of belonging. The school's goals place a strong emphasis on fostering a caring, family spirit. All facets of school life are supported by students, parents, carers, other family members, and parish officials. No of one's skill level, we acknowledge and applaud achievement. It is modelled for kids to be accountable and helpful to one another. We work to ensure that every student in the school has an equitable opportunity to participate in extracurricular activities that best suit their interests. The students, teachers, parents, carers, and members of the neighbourhood worked together to make our school a joyful, exciting, secure, and prosperous place. We look forward to welcoming you soon.
