From the Cumnor House School
More than just a neighbourhood, Cumnor is like one big extended family.
In the time we have been here, Belinda and I have helped and supported hundreds of other families while also watching our own four children receive an education at Cumnor and beyond.
For each youngster, we "shoot high."
We encourage parents' aspirations for their kids and anticipate that they will be high.
Academically and socially, we want every child to be the best version of themselves that they can be.
While we are adamant about the significance of literacy and numeracy, we also think that all of the subjects we teach are equally important and consequential.
Second, the children's ability to "be kind" and considerate of one another is of utmost importance to us at Cumnor.
We firmly believe that everyone should be treated according to how they themselves would like to be treated.
The ideal place to start is a nurturing setting where all of the personnel aspires to the same standards as the kids.
We are well positioned at Cumnor to promote the development of our students' positive mental health and provide them with the individualised help they require.
Our motto's concluding phrase, "dare to be different," advises kids to be ready to break out from the pack.
We define success as joyful, self-assured kids who are more likely to grow up to be well-rounded, perceptive adults.
Due to the size of our school, Cumnor House Sussex is ideally situated to pursue this objective.
One child at a time, we're working to improve the world.
