I was chosen to serve as a parent governor in 2011, and in July 2015, I was appointed to the position. I officially started serving as Chair of Governors at the beginning of the 2018 Autumn term after assuming the position during the course of last summer. I previously served as chair of the full board of governors' subcommittee on finance and premises. My two elder children both thrived at Compton and are now far along in their secondary schooling. My younger son, who recently started fourth grade, appreciates the instruction and particularly some of the available after-school organisations. Being a governor at Compton since 2011 has been a gratifying and stressful experience for me in equal measure. The tasks include everything from choosing term dates to taking part in the annual budget planning. Working with with a strong team of parents, teachers, and governors who want the best for every child at Compton C of E Primary makes me feel quite privileged. I will strive toward and support the school in advancing the intellectual, athletic, and creative accomplishments of the students because I am astounded by their accomplishments. As a Senior Design Engineer at Devonport Naval Base, I currently manage the ships and submarines based in Plymouth as well as incoming foreign ships. You can reach me through the school office if you would like to chat with me or anybody else in the school community.
