From the Compass Community School Hemsworth
Compass Schools are unique and exceptional establishments that excel at assisting challenging children who have endured traumatic events and adverse childhood experiences. Compass now has two Ofsted-outstanding schools and two more schools that cater to the needs of kids and teenagers who need individualised instruction to succeed and develop into their best selves. As a part of therapeutic communities, our schools provide children with varied packages of education, treatment, and care as needed. We work with students to support their study habits and build their self-confidence. The idea that behaviour can be changed, controlled, and improved so that children and young people can successfully engage in the learning process is central to our ethos. We are aware that staff may influence student behaviour to foster healthy learning environments where learning can occur in a focused, calm environment and that students can be encouraged and taught to manage their behaviour. Rebecca Slayford, our director of education services, supports Compass Schools' operations. She specialises in helping children who struggle with social, emotional, or mental health challenges attend school.
