We have high expectations for each and every member of our school community.
Following an inspection in 2016, Ofsted gave us the rating "Good." You can view the report on our website.
The Arthur Terry Learning Partnership counts us among its honoured members.
Our school has experienced amazing growth in recent years and will have more than 1200 students starting in 2019—almost twice as many as it did in 2014.
The Wilson Building, named after our motivational former Head Master and local hero Tom Wilson, will open this year and has 12 classrooms.
The construction of this structure will begin in 2020, the school's 500th year of operation.
Our school has great behaviour, with a focus on fostering good working relationships between faculty and students as well as a climate of respect and tolerance.
The "Standard" Grade 4 Pass (78%) and the new "Good" Grade 5 Pass (52%) saw our highest-ever pass rates in math and English.
As a business and enterprise academy, we are regional leaders in careers and employability and are outward-looking.
Being recognised for our great work in careers education, we are one of the few schools in the area that have attained The Quality in Careers Standard.
We are proud of our relationships with neighbourhood businesses, such as SERTEC, which sponsored our new ICT suite in 2017; BMW, with whom we collaborated on a challenge to design and construct hydrogen-fueled cars; and neighbourhood businesses, which have offered a variety of employability workshops and fantastic opportunities for our students.
We are a "Digital Schoolhouse," which means that we lead the way in computing education and provide computing to our main partners as well.
Please contact us if you have any project or idea suggestions; we are always interested.
The best way to see our school is to stop by during the school day and take a tour given by students.
You will be able to observe our outstanding students and teachers in action as a result.
We have openings in a few of our year groups and are always willing to talk about admissions to the school.
Please join us in sharing this with one another.
