That you choose to visit our school website makes me very happy. Claygate Primary is a really special location, and we are very proud of it. We are a warm and friendly school where the governors, parents, teachers, and students collaborate to make sure that every child's time at Claygate is full of support, opportunities, and triumphs. We provide a unique, interesting, and stimulating curriculum that encourages everyone to grow fond of learning. In June 2016, the most recent Ofsted inspection found that Claygate is a good school with much to be proud of. We concur! A new student leadership team has been established to assist us in our ongoing efforts to make CPS the best it can be. Our extensive grounds mean that we can offer excellent opportunities to participate in outdoor learning and sporting activities, which enhance the curriculum, including a full size swimming pool. Learning takes place outside of the classroom as well! Our main tenet is to help kids make choices, manage risks, and take ownership of their own lives. Our newly introduced Claygate Charter is an enrichment programme which allows the children to experience a range of modules, all linked to pupil well-being in which they strive to gain bronze, silver and ultimately gold status by the end of Year 6! In essence, we aim to make sure that children are well-prepared for the next phase of their education, but more importantly, that they are well-prepared for life!. We are a thriving, welcoming school with a lot going on. This website aims to give you a taster of the school, but we would be very pleased to welcome you on a personal visit or tour, so you can see the children immersed in their learning, meet the staff and look around our beautiful setting to build up your own picture.
