Our Year 7 ambassadors created and wrote the content for this section.
As they reflect on their own fresh starts at CGA, year 7 students wrote these moving poems about their thoughts and feelings about starting secondary school.
We have chosen our new Year 7 Ambassadors!
Again, a large number of applicants for the position displayed outstanding performance in the difficult formal interview.
They have since finished their training as ambassadors and have been visiting the elementary schools to get to know the Year 6 students who will be joining the Clapton family in September.
As they prepare to guide new families through the academy and coach freshmen as they adjust to secondary school life in September, students in this demanding leadership role will develop their confidence and gain useful skills.
In May, we select our newest class of Year 7 ambassadors.
Students gain self-assurance and leadership experience by serving as ambassadors.
We observed the interviews of the student ambassadors with Stella Bailey, one of our academy governors, and PC Keyes, our Safer Schools police officer.
In preparation for New Families Evening and their new duties as mentors, the chosen ambassadors received a full day of demanding training.
