From the Cherbourg Primary School
In collaboration with parents, Cherbourg Primary offers children a quality education in a secure, encouraging, and engaging setting.
The way we emphasise the value of reading, writing, and math through the teaching of skills like music and learning in the environment is a significant strength of our curriculum.
All of our students will learn at least five different instruments while attending our school, and they will all have the chance to advance their talents on one instrument during Key Stage 2.
We encourage our students to take chances by doing novel things and having the bravery to "have a go" while learning.
We make sure that the material we teach is challenging for the students while still being rich and engaging.
Another important way we teach British Values in schools is via questioning and debate.
Through our Values and Beliefs programme, which includes an Issue of the Month, students learn about democracy, religion, the rights of children, as well as contemporary issues that may have an impact on their life.
Parents and experts alike acknowledge our dedication to serving the needs of numerous children with unique educational requirements and impairments.
We also share our knowledge with other schools and other partners since our Jarjums' Room is an example of best practise as a resourced solution for supporting kids with emotional, social, and mental health needs.
is at the core of who we are, and we have high goals for improving our standards and fostering learning for kids, adults, trainees, students, and parents all year long.
As the leading institution in our Child First Partnership, alongside other Hampshire schools and the University of Southampton, we will start offering School Direct seats for trainee teachers in September 2017.
