Chatburn School was founded over 180 years ago and so has a long-standing history and high record of achievement. Above all, it serves the residents of Chatburn and the nearby settlements as a village school. The school has accommodation for approximately 100 pupils, making it small enough to be friendly but large enough to offer a varied and full education from our highly experienced staff. The school relocated to its current location in the 1960s and now comprises five classrooms as well as cloakrooms and restrooms. There is a large playground made of tarmac and a grassy area nearby. The nearby playing field is also used by the school. A sizable, well-appointed hall is available for P.E. classes, worship, musical events, and school meals.
