From the Carrington Infant School
A very warm welcome to Carrington Infant School is what I would like to extend to you.
Mrs. Rebecca Morrisson is my name, and I serve as the school's principal at Carrington Infant School.
Since 2006, I have been a head teacher, and I adore my demanding yet fulfilling position.
In three years, we have made great progress.
In 2016, there was a significant drop in performance that required attention.
Over the three years since I started my role, our Year 2 reading, writing, and math results have improved from 58% to 75%, 26% to 66%, and 29% to 75% respectively.
It is an amazing honour to guide young children—our priceless gems—through the formative years of their education and see them develop into self-reliant young people who are prepared for the next level of learning.
The kids have gone through a lot this year and are prepared for future difficulties.
Practical learning still has its place, and practical exercises are essential.
Since we don't have a Year Six, they must assume a variety of duties.
We frequently hold focus groups for children who require extra support due to their specific needs or because they simply need some encouragement, along with more able groups.
Everything is done with a cheerful and playful attitude.
I have a strong enthusiasm for education, especially for young children, and I look forward to helping each kid reach their full potential while collaborating as much as possible with their parents and other carers.
There are stay-and-play activities, family reading and activity times, as well as a few brief training sessions for parents on important topics like phonics.
We are familiar with every student, and we make every effort to meet their unique requirements, whether they be academic or more broadly based.
We take pleasure in being an inclusive school for both parents and kids.
We certainly specialise on ASD, but we are also committed to ensuring that those who are more capable thrive and may think even more deeply.
I have high goals for the school.
