The earliest County Council school in West Sussex is Camelsdale Primary School, which opened its doors in 1904. Working with staff, parents, students, governors, and other community members has allowed me the opportunity to lead our school further into the twenty-first century. Despite being the oldest school in West Sussex, it has a reputation for being a leader in primary education innovation and excellence. Our classification as a Teaching School, a National Support School, and a National Leader in Education all reflect this. As a community school, it is our duty to help shape our students into confident, joyful, and responsible citizens who are well equipped to face the difficulties of a constantly changing world. All of the students at our school are encouraged to broaden their perspectives and develop into enthusiastic, self-reliant, caring, responsible, resilient, resourceful, and reflective learners. This is accomplished through collaborating on an engaging curriculum that promotes equality and diversity and is of the highest quality and most memorable. Our unforgettable Learning Journeys are designed to be enticing and are based on thrilling real-world encounters and our approach to teaching and learning from the forest school. I hope Camelsdale Primary School continues to promote the growth of the village and remains at the centre of this extremely wonderful community as Camelsdale Village collaborates to nurture its children.
